The Four Horsemen's Trilogy?
With an A-list cast, a gross over $117,000,000 and some magic tricks; Now You See Me is making a come back. With a few more well-known actors added to the cast list and the title, Now You See Me: The Second Act, it has passed the confirmation.
Some new members of the cast are Daniel Radcliffe, Lizzy Caplan, Sanaa Lathan and the sequel has a different director, Jon M. Chu, best known for his work on G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011) and Step Up 4: Miami Heat (2012). The sequel with have Ed Solomon working on the screen play as he did for the first; so although sequels have a tendency to be less popular, I feel as though this story is in the hands of many great artists.
Look at the photo above. Notice anyone that is missing? Since Morgan Freeman's character is locked up in prison, we could expect the lack of his reappearance in the sequel, however Isla Fisher - best known for Confessions of a Shopaholic and Home and Away, will not be in the sequel. In the film, Mark Ruffalo plays Dylan Rhodes who has a highlighted romance with Alma Dray. However, the romance must have ended because Melanie Laurent will also not be making an appearance in the sequel.
The biggest hint of a sequel we saw before it was made official was at the end of Now You See Me. If you had a Blu-ray copy of the film and continued watching until around halfway through the credits, you would have seen a clip of the four hoursemen in a desert at a junk yard for old Las Vegas signs.
I guess we'll have to wait until the 10th of June 2016 to find out the relevance since that is the release date.
And finally, if you thought that this was interesting, there are rumours that a the films will be part of a trilogy as there may be a third film coming up.
